Murray Medical Center constantly strives to maintain and broaden the services offered by the medical staff which serves our community. Some of the finest physicians in the state reside and practice right here in Murray County and we are proud they also call Murray Medical Center home.
The Georgia Hospital Association recently awarded Murray Medical Center with the recognition of “Best Practice Hospital” in the care of Acute M.I. (heart attacks). Similarly, Murray Medical Center was also recently presented with a National Quality Leader Award in the care of Pneumonia by the Care Science Group.
In April of 2008, the Centers For Medicare and Medicaid Services released the results of its first nine months of patient satisfaction surveys and Murray Medical Center was proud to be included in the top ten hospitals in the state of Georgia on this illustrious list. In recent patient satisfaction survey results, Murray Medical Center has ranked as high as the 99th percentile nationally, which means we are in the top 1% of the 1,499 hospitals surveyed by Press Ganey, the largest hospital survey organization in the country.
Our Dietary Department consistently receives high scores from the Department of Public Health and our patients continually rate its services highly on their discharge evaluations.
In the busy and high tech world of today, we have found that more and more of our patients and their families need to be connected to their computers, so we have made wireless internet capability available throughout the facility.
Our full-service Laboratory has the most up-to-date technology and state of the art instrumentation. Lab services are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for all of your diagnostic needs.
Our Radiology Department is equipped with a full line of diagnostic imaging equipment, including X-ray, Ultrasound, CT Scanning, as well as Mammography and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) systems.
Our Surgical Services Department offers minimally invasive surgical treatments for you and your family through an experienced team of physicians, nurses and surgery technologists. We offer surgical services in the areas of general surgery, laparoscopic, and gynecological procedures, cataract surgeries, and endoscopy procedures.
Our Corporate Care Program offers companies pre-employment physicals as well as flu and pneumonia vaccines at competitive prices.
Murray Emergency Medical Services provides the county’s sole ambulance service and has received local, state and national recognition as a quality emergency provider.
Our Emergency Department is staffed with highly trained and competent physicians and nurses 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
For over fifty years, from the time the first hospital in Murray County opened in 1949, as Murray County Memorial Hospital, through its move to our present location in 1976, the healthcare professionals who have led and guided the evolution of health care in this area have been committed to excellence.
Becoming Murray Medical Center in 1995, this commitment proudly continues, with our recent $6.3 million dollar addition of a new Emergency Department, as well as ongoing renovations to our Laboratory, Radiology, and Cardiopulmonary departments, and we are excitedly forging ahead in the 21st Century.
