In 1949 Murray Medical Center was built to care for the citizens of Murray County. 64 years later, our success is a tribute to the patients, employees and physicians that have made us great. Over the years we have made lots of changes — from our state-of-the-art emergency department addition in 2005 to the recent addition of advanced digital imaging in our outpatient radiology department. We work hard each day to meet the healthcare needs of our community. In 2012 we became an independent hospital and are now poised to become a bigger contributor to our community than ever before.

Murray Medical Center to host first Circle the Hospital in Prayer event
Murray Medical Center invites the public to attend the hospital’s first annual Circle the Hospital in Prayer event held on Thursday, May 5 in observance of the National Day of Prayer. Circle the Hospital in Prayer is an event that is meant to bring the community together. Those who believe in prayer are invited to join employees of the hospital to form “prayer pods” around the hospital, making a circle of prayer.

Adventist Health System, which includes Murray Medical Center, was recognized in Becker’s Healthcare’s 2016 “150 Great Places to Work in Healthcare” list. The list of organizations features both U.S. healthcare provider organizations as well as other types of healthcare specific companies.
Murray Medical Center Welcomes New Hospitalist
Murray Medical Center, a new member of Adventist Health System, is pleased to announce that Mitchell Wilson, MD, has been selected to serve as the hospital’s staff hospitalist. Dr. Wilson specializes in hospital-based internal medicine, known as hospital medicine, which he has practiced full-time since 1998.

Steely named administrator of Murray Medical Center
